solid sandal

After returning a new pair of Keen Newport H2 sandals that I bought from LL Bean (velcro separated from strap w/i days) I decided to see what Teva had to offer in a closed toe sandal. I loved the closed toe feature of the Keen Newport H2 because it keeps my kid's fee much cleaner and it's safer when they are climbing on rocks at the beach. Although Teva's Toachi isn't a completely closed toe shoe it did the trick nicely. My 8 yr old son put them to the test at Disney World Epcot Animal Kingdom & Universal Studios. No matter what the event his Teva Toachi sandals were up for the task. They never bothered his feet. They got soaked and dried 20 times over the period of 10 days. They held up nicely as they should for the price! I don't mind paying a little more if I get my money's worth. I would recommend these sandal especially for boys who play hard outdoors.More detail ...

Best summer shoe every for kids

Well Done Teva! I bought each kid a pair of these shoes last summer and they LOVED them. There isn't a "new shoe" break in period. They can play on the beach play soccer or take a long walk. They are truly good for everything. In fact they are still in such good shape that I can pass them on to the cousins and they will have a good summer shoe season! :) I am buying 2 more pairs today for this summer. Sturdy sandal

We live in the country where my daughter runs climbs everywhere and gets into everything. I bought these sandals for last summer (2009) for my 6 year old daughter. It almost met all my standards for a good shoe; 1) Sturdy 2) Easy to clean (ran them under the faucet and scrubbed them clean) 3) Able to run in them 4) Easy to put on 5) Still looks great! After having worn them a whole summer my daughter will be able to hand these down to her sister! Now that's value. The only minor annoyance was that the toe part of the sandal wore by mid-summer last year but you can't really tell since the color is the same throughout.
